What is DT8 rice?

DT8 rice is derived from a high-quality purebred rice variety researched and crossbred by Vietnamese agricultural engineers. Currently in Vietnam, the DT8 rice plant is grown mainly in the Mekong Delta, South Central Coast and Central Highlands.

DT8 rice grains are long, thin, clear white, and have no silver belly. The average length of the rice grains is about 6 to 7 mm. When cooked, the rice will turn into sweet and moderately soft rice. Especially, you will smell a very pleasant light aroma of rice.
